Home to me has Always been Ashe County, NC.
I was born in Ashe County and have lived here my entire life.
I have witnessed the cold, bone-chilling snowy days and helped my bus driver put chains on the bus tires so we could safely make it home in the afternoons.
I have also witnessed the happiness on my children's smiling faces as they go to the park and find a friend they know from school being there or make a new friend while playing.
